Thomas J. Rauen joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2007. He serves as the director of the Program Service Center, created in 2006, with a mission to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all Foundation program activities through the provision of superior support services.
Previously, Rauen was the vice president of services for Easter Seals of New Jersey. Prior to this, he served as the vice president of operations for HPI International, directed operations for Adchem Industries and managed branch operations for International Rehabilitation Associates.
Rauen earned an MBA from Wagner College, an MA in rehabilitation counseling from Seton Hall University, and a BA in psychology from Rutgers University. He is currently working toward a PhD in organizational management.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Ohio, Rauen resides in Staten Island, N.Y. with his wife, Pat, a mental health therapist, and his daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling and golf.
