Analyzing implications of state implementation of the Affordable Care Act for governments, employers, and households, Year 3

Under this project, the Urban Institute will conduct: (1) qualitative studies of the states that are receiving technical assistance as part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation State Health Reform Assistance Network; and (2) a quantitative analysis that is to be national in scope. The overall purpose of the qualitative work is to assess how the target states are progressing in their implementation of provisions of the Affordable Care Act. The overall purpose of the quantitative work is to evaluate the impact of health reform on coverage levels and other relevant outcomes, such as affordability and access. Deliverables will include briefs and papers, some of which the project intends for peer review, and others, for publication jointly on RWJF and Institute websites and for dissemination using various communications strategies, as appropriate. This is the third year of a five-year project, which will continue to monitor progress in the target states and trends in national outcome measures.
